Mrs. Amanda Bruney                      > return to staff page      Assistant to the Superintendent                                  Amanda was born and raised in Petoskey, a little tourist town in Northern Michigan.  Growing up in a Christian home, she was saved at the age of six.  Not fully understanding the commitment she had made, Amanda continued for several years to ask Jesus into her heart each summer during Backyard Bible School. She wanted to be sure she was definitely going to heaven! After graduating from Petoskey High School in 1998, Amanda went on to receive her Bachelors in Elementary Education at Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN.  It was there that she met her husband Jeff and they were married in August of 2001.  Jeff and Amanda became involved at Trinity EFC in South Bend, IN as youth leaders and Bible quizzing coaches.  It was then that Amanda took a summer position at Trinity as the youth pastor’s secretary.  As the summer was winding down and she was searching for a new job, she learned of a position opening with the Great Lakes District which was located in Trinity Church.  Since then, Amanda has enjoyed serving the staff and pastors of the EFCA.
