Do you believe the Lord may be calling you to Church Planting? Are you interested in planting a church with the EFCA? Below is a list of necessary tests and assessments to evaluate whether your character traits and competencies align with those that the EFCA has identified as important for a church planter. If you complete these evaluations and still believe that you may be called to plant a church in the Great Lakes District, please send us your assessment results to the district. We look forward to meeting you.
STEP 1: Am I a church planter? (self-evaluation) These are a list of characters and competencies we have identified as important in church planters. This evaluation will take a relatively minimal amount of time and should be taken before you spend money on the other tests.
STEP 2: Temperment Sorter II - MBTI The temperment sorter is an on-line version of the Myers Briggs Temperaent Indicator. (Important note: it costs $14.95 and will require answering 84 questions--the free test does not offer enough information).
STEP 3: DiSC Classic Profile The DiSC Classic Profile measures behavioral types and personality styles. It costs $22.21 and should take about ten minutes.
STEP 4: Spiritual Gifts The "Uniquely You" profiler has three parts. There is a spiritual gifts section, a personality assessment, and an Opportunities for Ministry Survey. The cost is $5 and should take about 45 minutes. After completing the survey, please save it as a PDF file and email it to the district. |
